It’s true, though. I’m a big fan of The Game but he needs to stop name dropping. It’s okay “paying homage” but every song? This why I think The Game will be forgotten. A lot of what he says is relevant today, but how are future generations supposed to understand his metaphors and punchlines? That’s why he’s not one of the greats, in my book. The name dropping takes away from his emceeing.

Not to mention this dude steps outside of the box and has made tracks for all genres of music including Nine Inch Nails, Gwen Stefani, Burt Bacarach (a jazz musician). Now you know a producer is the truth when a sixty or seventy year old white jazz musician gets a hip hop producer to do 3 tracks for him. He’s respected by all genres. He has only two albums, yet everytime he drops an album or co produces someone elses album, it changes the game and sets the standard for (no shit) about the next 8 to ten years.
