Akon is pulling a T-Pain by claiming that he deserves credit for the success of rapper Kanye West’s “808 And Heartbreaks”

Rapper Akon is taking credit for the success of Kanye West’s newest album “808 And Heartbreaks”. He is convinced that he paved the way for the rapper to try out melodic vocals.

West opted for a new sound on his latest record using Auto-Tune software to sing on the tracks instead of rapping. Akon is taking credit for the movement, insisting he and fellow rapper T-Pain were the first hip-hop stars to sing instead of just spitting rhymes.

He tells MTV, “I embrace the fact that they’re doing it (rappers are singing). Music changes every year. I’m just happy (about) the fact that people are jumping on what we’re already doing. I look at it like a tribute to what we’re already doing, and I look at it like a compliment, really.

“I say ‘you’re welcome’ every time I hear (rappers singing). A melody has a way of describing (words), ’cause of the emotions that come with melody. Melody brings it out better than a bland vocal. It’s easier to relate.”

So it seems that people think that this video will clear up the “hitting” incident he had with the female. In my opinion, this shit actually makes dude look worse. You be the judge, but it looks like he actually swung at 2 chicks instead of one! Oh Akon, get ya shit together or you’ll be locckkeeeedddd uppppppp…..

After crowd surfing at a South American concert, Akon gets frustrated with a chick grabbing on to him and punches her out.

But damn, Akon just had a record out recently too called “Changed Man” about how he respects women now……oh well, the track is hot.

Some would call it bizarre, but MTV has decided to branch out into the middle east. Why’s that bizarre? Well, the Middle East is notorious for it’s strict social views — which means, half the crap on MTV (half dressed women, drunk fights on the real world, sexy Shakira videos) would be too taboo to be seen over there.

Not to mention them niggas is crazy son! The news story says more than half the population over there is under 25… yeah, I wonder why. Suicide bombings don’t exactly promote longevity.

All that aside, our very own Ludacris and Akon plan to be at the launch. This should be good…
