Cam is Sh*tting in Juelz’s Lemonade

According to SOHH and an interview Juelz did with Angie Martinez, Cam is holding Juelz back from releasing his next album:

When Martinez asked Santana why he hasn’t been able to release any new material, he claimed that the Dipset Don has something to do with his situation at the Def Jam.

“Me and Cam gotta work some things out, bottom line,” the rapper said. “I came in the game when I was young right, so it’s no reason for me - to have accomplished and did as much as I did - to be getting treated the same way as I was treated when I just came in.”

Santana, all I ask is that you not be yelling G-G-G-Unit on your next mixtape.

NYT Reviews “Public Enemy #1″; Cam funnier than 50

-Thursday, November 15th, 2007-

camtape.jpg

Surprisingly, a writer from the New York Times actually reviewed Cam’s new mixtape Public Enemy #1. Of note, the writer stated

Cam’ron is funnier and more obstreperous than 50 Cent is

and even quoted some of his favorite lines:

He’s not afraid to repeat words if he needs to: “We drive several coupes: grape, orange, cherry coupes/Girls ball like Sheryl Swoopes, dudes hustle on every stoop.” And part of the fun is the suspense of waiting for what’s coming next, even if (thanks to multiple listenings) you already know: “I got my sewing kit: the streets, I done creased and hemmed ‘em/Man, them buildings wasn’t vacant — we condemned ‘em.”

Then, he goes on to say something that well, I just can’t believe.

So: cut out the protégés’ songs, the introductions (the second CD has one too) and the skits (one concerning excretory hygiene, one concerning cockroaches, neither unfunny), you’re still left with 29 tracks of Cam’ron, which is more than enough to make “Public Enemy #1” one of the most exciting events of the hip-hop year.

Sure, it was anticipated, but cammon! I’ll be honest, I don’t know if this guy is serious or not, but he penned 2 pages worth of text on the double-disc mixtape. If you want to check it out, click here, then scroll past the Alicia Keys review.

Beyonce Strongarmed Camron?

In an interview with hhnlive, Diplomats producer Digga speaks on the old Beyonce and Cam issue (where Cam wrote a hook that had B singing about slingin crack — which Cam later used as a shot to Jay) .

The funny thing is, Cam did write that hook about slingin crack but Beyonce got a check and she muscled Cam out of some of his publishing and writer credits too. So, who really won? That’s the part he doesn’t want to tell you

Not a good look for our pink-loving harlemite. Digga also took the time to speak on 50’s “Many Men”

I wasn’t in the studio when he recorded it. 50 recorded that song 2 years prior to its release when he didn’t have a record deal. That track went through Nas and Cam’s hands before 50 got a hold of it. I remember being on the phone with 50 for about 2 hours talking about his plans for Yayo, Banks and his whole plan. That’s why I really respect 50 because he saw the vision for G-Unit early on. He told me he was definitely using the song on his album but I didn’t believe him because I hear that all the time. Sha Money XL played it for me and I thought it was crazy but I didn’t think Dr. Dre would like it. Once I started getting calls from A&Rs and industry people who had heard about the song, I knew the song was gonna be something special. I’m proud of the song’s success but I’m most proud of how many people it has reached across the world. I get people from Africa and South America emailing about Many Men.

Cam not ready to speak

-Friday, September 21st, 2007-

camron-pr02.jpg

Althought their website stated it, Cam told Miss Info that he will NOT in fact be appearing on BET’s 106 & Park:

Although 106 n Park has been great in launching the careers of diplomat members, I’m not going to be appearing on the show next week to discuss anything. When I decide to speak on anything, I will stop by Funk Flex’s show first.

Well we learned 2 things there. 1) Cam is not ready to speak about all the controversy surrounding him and his absence. 2) we learned that Cam is on Funk Flex’s nuts (or just hates BET, whatever).

P.S. we linked MissInfo.tv as the source, mentioned her in this article and are reacknowledging her here. Just putting it out there… we know how bitchy that Asian can get. Take that, take that.

Way To Go Cam’Ron

stop-snitchin.jpg

Some readers were shocked and angered by a Friday editorial page cartoon depicting a black man with a smoking gun in his hand standing over a bullet-riddled victim.”I didn’t see nuttin’!” said a little girl standing nearby. “Now that’s a good little ho!” said the gunman. Both the shooter and the child wore T-shirts saying “Don’t Snitch!”

The cartoon carried a caption: “The new rule of Law!” A billboard in the background depicted more black characters under lyrics, “Rap your life away.”

Expressions of outrage came quickly, including from the local president of the NAACP.

“Highly offensive and racist,” is how Charles Anderson described the cartoon.

It was wrong to suggest that the growing “Don’t snitch” phenomenon is limited to the African-American community and use of the terms “ho” and “nuttin’ ” were over the top, according to Anderson. Phyllis Hall said everything about the cartoon was offensive.

Full Story

I don’t know what the big outrage is we all know minorities regularly carry guns and crack. Plus, all the guy did was call her a ho — not even a nappy-headed ho — just a ho!

The insane thing about it is, I’m not even racist!
