So Who Is The Best Rapper Alive?
Recently we posted an article where VIBE Magazine had announced that Eminem was voted the ‘Best Rapper Alive.’ Their were alot of mixed emotions about whether or not he was a legitimate candidate for the title of ‘The Greatest Alive.’ Now keep in mind, like most of the editorials here on CeleBully, this is all about opinion. Below you will see our top 5. Some things I took into account were delivery, substance, swag, creativity and longevity in the game (also this is only rappers who are still recording). With that said, here it is:
5: Lil Wayne - Personally I’m not a big fan of Weezy, but he’s been in the game for years now and continues to get stronger and stronger.
4: Eminem - Although Em really hasn’t been on the scene in a minute, he still has the ability to drop a platinum album at any time.
3: Jay-Z - Hova has been slippin’ the last couple years, but still shows with tracks like ‘Swaager Like Us’ and ‘Jockin Jay-z’ that he is one of the best…..ever.
2: Andre 3000 - The thing about Andre I like the most, is that he’s stayed true to himself….he doesn’t care what others think. Also he is very selective with the records he hops on, you wont see 3k on alot of features, but when you do hear 3k on a track……it’s curtains.
1: Nas - Nas has the ability to be better than anybody ever to rap. He also could be as rich as 50, Diddy or Hova if he wanted…. But the thing I love about Nas, is that he loves to keep a low profile. His records however, speak volumes…and that’s why Nas is our ‘Greatest Rapper Alive.’

1.Andre 3000- Is out of this world hands down the best most consitient, can outrap anybody he own a track with, stay true to his self, versatile, humble, and make great music and have awesome wordplay and is oringial like no other got a little of everybody on this list in him that what makes him the best also. he never change who he is just matured and got better when we thought it wasnt no better, also is underated

50 Cent - hes slippin now but his older shit (power of the dollar, g-unit mixtapes, g.r.o.d.t) were all fire
Lil’ Wayne - I know a lot of people think he’s wack, but some of his mixtape material was insane. Definitely has a lot of potential, unfortunately the mainstream won’t really see any of that…they’ll just see the vocoder.
T.I. - It was a close call, didn’t care much for T.I. vs T.I.P but he really stepped up his game recently
Trae - Has sick delivery, switches up his flows so it’s always something different..not widely known but def. a beast
Papoose - some of the best flows out there right now, haven’t heard anything like him…deff. needs to put out more material though
Eminem - Him and dre are basically what got me into rap back in 2000…crazy delivery and even crazier subject matter, deff. has his own style no one can touch. I would rank him higher but I haven’t had anything to base him off of…for about 4 years.
Jay-Z - Been in the game since Big was around…Great catalog of albums, although he’s been more lacking as time goes on.
AZ - Possibly one of the most underrated of all time, I haven’t even seen him mentioned once on this list. Has a nearly impeccable flow. Did a lot of joints with Nas back in the day (they started rapping right around the same time) and was able to keep up with him lyrically, i might even have to say he outsined Nas in the delivery department. Had a lot of potential but unfortunately he kinda fell off, and didn’t do much to get back into the game
Ludacris - Played a big part in putting the south on the map..Outkast is good as well but didn’t make as much of a lasting impression on me as Luda, just a personal opinion though…a lot of ppl are sleepin on him recently but if anything he’s been stepping his game up. I like T.I. but Luda’s definitely the true king of the south,
Nas - The best around, hands down. May not have the flow and delivery of some of the rest mentioned but has the ability to speak his mind like no one else. His subject matter is the deepest I’ve heard in any rap since I can remember. Been in rap for 14 years dropping hits and still relevant, doesn’t change his style for anyone and doesn’t change for mainstream attention.
